Pyrmont Blocked Drain

WHY WE WERE CALLED

The list of reasons why you shouldn’t flush cat litter down the toilet or put it down a sink or shower drain is fairly long, but perhaps the most important one concerns water flow. We received a call from a client in Pyrmont after reports of a blocked drain.

WHAT WE DID

Two tradesmen were required to re-attend the site and complete a detailed camera audit of the affected stack which was found blocked with Kitty litter. We have sent this video footage to the building manager and found that this is likely caused by an occupant within the building.

RESULTS

Our tradesman was able to clear the blocked drain. A flushable cat litter may cause clogs, and a non-flushable one definitely will. All you have to do to figure that out is look at the rock-hard clumps it forms when the cat uses it.
