WHY WE WERE CALLED

Several causes explain why a pipe bursts. Many factors come into play, but there are some common causes most homeowners experience from time to time. One common cause is corrosion. Our team received a call from a client in Randwick after reports of a water leak.

WHAT WE DID

Tradesmen were required to investigate the water leak. Once onsite, they used a thermal imagery gun and nitrogen to locate a burst hot water pipe in the common wall of unit 7. They were required to cut into the outside brick wall and expose the defective pipework. They then proceeded to cut out the pipe and replace it with new copper pipework.

RESULTS

After re-testing all the services, they proceeded to re-brick the wall back up. Homeowners often know when a pipe bursts because of large puddles of water in the home.
