WHY WE WERE CALLED

It’s only natural that roots from trees grow toward sewer lines. When a root finds a leak, it will quickly grow into the pipe and inhibit the flow of waste, causing blockages, broken pipes and other serious plumbing problems. We attended to inspect branch lines on the left hand side of the property in Bondi with cctv camera.

WHAT WE DID

Upon inspection the tradesman noticed that the overflow relief gully outside unit 1A was partially collapsed allowing tree root ingress. He used a high pressure water jetter to clear through blockage. Gully should be excavated and replaced in pvc (although it is deeper than most gullies and would need to knock down a section of garden bed retaining wall). 

The other branch lines are all clear up to the relined section of pipework. 

All sewer drains have been completely cleared off tree roots and are in perfect preparation for pipe relining.

RESULTS

Please note there is an existing overflow relief gully which is an old terracotta pipe that cannot be relined and will need to be excavated and replaced with PVC. We think it would be best to complete a keyhole excavation approx 3m deep and replace the overflow relief gully with brand new PVC and raise new points to the surface. On completion reinstate the garden and test and commission all works.
