I wanted to reach out personally to let you know that proximity plumbing is here to support you over this challenging period. Our team are going above and beyond in terms of cleanliness and safety as per the guidelines of the NSW Government and the department of health.

We are committed to the health and safety of both our clients and our employees, and we are also mindful of playing our part to support the Australian government efforts to contain the spread of the virus. We take this responsibility seriously, and as the situation unfolds, we will continue to ensure we have in place the most robust plan possible. Plumbers play an important role in the health and safety of our communities. As such, we have been officially declared essential workers and permitted to serve our customers as usual. Plumbing Charges During Covid 19

Proximity Plumbing will remain offering our $0 Call out to all residents throughout the pandemic. We have opted to not increase our callout fees during this time as we understand a lot of families are struggling enough as it is. We will be keeping our low cost, affordable pricing as-is for the foreseeable future and are happy to provide financial support for those clients who need works completed but may not have the funds to do so. We understand that this is a stressful time and that is why we are also offering special payment plans for those most affected by the coronavirus.

Due to the large number of emergency plumbing requests and questions we are receiving, we have created a dedicated emergency hotline number for the community to ring and ask any questions. Our emergency plumbers are always available 24/7 to help fix blocked drains and other plumbing issues that you may have during the pandemic.

COVID-19 Safety Plumbing Precautions

We understand this is a difficult and uncertain time for all, however as a provider of essential plumbing services we assure you that we are remaining up to date and adhering to all expert advice by Health and Government authorities, in relation to any actions and procedures regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. It is our priority to ensure your health and safety along with that of our staff and the wider community. Below is a list of our COVID-19 Safety Plumbing Precautions

  • None of our plumbers have travelled overseas or interstate in the last 14 days.

  • Each one of our team members has completed an infection control training course provided to us by the Australian government.

  • Our plumbers have been trained to respect your personal space. This means standing well back (more than 2 metres) when discussing the job in person. Upon request we are also happy to conduct all discussions over the phone – even when on the premises.

  • Each team member will be using hand sanitiser before and after all our jobs.

  • If you require any plumbing work completed during this time rest assured, we will continue offering the highest quality of customer service, Emergency callouts, and continuing our services to local Sydney businesses and residence.

  • In addition to washing their hands, our plumbers wear a new pair of disposable plastic gloves on every job that they are required to work indoors.

  • Our vehicles are now sanitised at least twice a week using a hospital-grade disinfectant.

  • Our plumbers have been trained to recognise any signs of illness and must report to management immediately.

We kindly ask you if you have been in contact with someone who has been a confirmed case of the highly contagious covid-19 that you inform our friendly staff over the phone so we can come equipped. Proximity Plumbing Requests All Customers

It is up to everyone to play their part in stopping the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, Proximity Plumbing humbly requests that all customers notify us immediately if any of the following apply to them:

  • You have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

  • You are experiencing flu-like symptoms, including a fever and dry cough.

  • You are currently in self-isolation.

  • You arrived in Australia after midnight 15 March 2020. If so, you must self-isolate for a minimum of 14 days.

  • You have, or suspect, you may have been near someone diagnosed with COVID 19 or displaying COVID-19-like symptoms.

  • You have recently travelled and are exhibiting COVID-19 signs.

If any of the above apply to you, please advise our friendly staff when booking your next plumbing service. We encourage all customers to take care and seek assistance when feeling unwell or overwhelmed. We are all in this together and, if we look after one another, we can defeat COVID-19 together.
