One of the biggest safety issues that can endanger homeowners is a gas leak. Gas leaks can be very harmful and, in some cases, deadly. If the gas from a gas leak is allowed to build up over time, it can result in carbon monoxide poisoning. In addition, although the chances are relatively low, a gas leak has the potential to cause an explosion. We were called after reports of a gas leak in Dover Heights.
With the use of gas detection equipment, the tradesman identified the gas leak on the right side of the house. He then replaced up to 1m of leaking pipework in new copper and press fittings.
Upon completion, the owner requested to turn the gas meter off. In many cases, gas leaks can go undetected until it’s too late. Fortunately, if the property owner will discover the gas leak immediately, worst cases will be avoided.
