WHY WE WERE CALLED

We were called by the strata block that we work with in Rose Bay as a tenant was experiencing a blocked drain. As this is something urgent, we immediately conducted a complimentary site inspection to find out the cause of blockage.

WHAT WE DID

We attended the job to investigate a blocked stormwater line picking up 150 mm copper downpipe. We removed large amounts of tree roots within the stormwater grate that caused the blockage. We used a high-pressure jet blaster and CCTV camera in an attempt to clear the blockage. We have notified the strata manager that we also needed to do some excavation within the garage to gain direct access to the stormwater line in order for us to successfully remove all the tree roots.

RESULTS

As a result, we have successfully completed a dig and jet blasted mine to clear huge tree roots. In order to avoid this kind of blockages, we suggested having a preventive maintenance check every 6 to 12 months to ensure no further issues are occurring.
