WHY WE WERE CALLED

Clogged drains are the last thing that you want to happen in your establishment. They present themselves in early symptoms, such as slow draining in the sink, gurgling noises from the drain, and even foul smells. If these issues are left untreated for long periods, these can quickly worsen and lead to more serious and costly problems. A school in Vaucluse called us to clear blocked drain on level 5 kitchenette.

WHAT WE DID

William attended the site after reports of a blocked drain. He proceeded to attempt to clear the blocked drain using sulphuric acid and electric eel which couldn’t clear the line. With the assistance of caretaker William was shown the external drainage and a plan to return the following day with a 2nd tradesmen and high pressure jet the line was agreed. 2x tradesmen attended the site and set up high pressure jetting equipment. Unfortunately, the water was off to the building, and they couldn’t continue with this option. Instead, they located the drainage in level 4 bathrooms and proceeded to cut out some of the defective pipework in 2x different sections. With the aid of further sulphuric acid and the electric eel they managed to remove a large amount of fats located in the drain.

RESULTS

Max returned to site today to test all the work and confirmed the drain is flowing at 100%. We strongly advise upgrading the line in a larger pipe size and installing clips to support the pipe as the current drain is not secured in any way and thus causing it to bow out of shape over time. On completion the drainage was repaired, and the bathrooms were cleaned to the best of our ability.
